Zero Carbon Dorset is a community-led project conducting research into Dorset’s current carbon emissions and where and how they could be reduced. In 2022 they produced the first “Dorset 2030 Report” featuring a wealth of data relating to Dorset and “120 local stories of positive steps already taking place by councils, businesses, schools, universities, colleges, and, most importantly, community groups across the county.” The first annual review of the report was published in April 2023 and you can read it here (with options to read the whole thing or just one chapter at a time).
The report is separated into sections as demonstrated in the diagram below (with “Adaptation & Offsetting” yet to be completed). We have broadly adopted these sections as the basis for organising the Climate Hub.
